Natalia Slioussar works at the Higher School of Economics, Moscow, where she is an assistant professor at the School of Linguistics and a senior research fellow at the Laboratory of Formal Methods in Linguistics, and at Saint-Petersburg State University, where she is an assistant professor at the Department of Problems of Convergence in Natural Sciences and Humanities and a senior research fellow at the Laboratory for Cognitive Studies. Natalia works in the fields of theoretical and experimental linguistics. In the former, she specializes in generative syntax (focusing on information structure and word order), in the latter, she uses behavioral and neuroimaging methods to study various linguistic phenomena, primarily in the domain of syntax and morphology. It is fascinating to see the wildest theoretical ideas gaining experimental support and experimental results rewriting linguistic theories. Natalia holds a Ph.D. from Utrecht Institute of Linguistics and Saint-Petersburg State University and a D.Sc. from the Higher School of Economics.
