Andra-Lee Shimmin

I am passionate about helping others to improve their English skills, whether it's for business, travel, to improve academic performance or even just for fun. I am friendly and patient and I love meeting people from other countries. I ensure that my classes are specific to each student to ensure that they learn in the way that suits them best. For example, some students prefer a more structured approach using textbooks and some thrive on a more visual lesson, using videos, pictures and interactive activities.

I am comfortable teaching people of all ages and it is my goal to encourage the student to speak English as often as possible, as this is one of the core factors in helping them to improve their English and enable them to reach native speaker status.

I love to travel and I have been fortunate enough to get to 5 out of the 6 continents, so far! I enjoy reading when I get the chance, but I am a busy mom of 2, so time is not always available! I like to be outdoors and I enjoy watching sport and spending time with my family. One of my favorite things is watching movies at the cinema and I try to see all the latest releases. I am also passionate about eating out and trying new restaurants and different types of cuisine.
